साउथ अफ्रीका के खिलाफ टीम इंडिया के विकेटकीपर-बल्लेबाज दिनेश कार्तिक (Dinesh Karthik) ने अपनी कमाल की बल्लेबाजी का नजराना पेश किया। टॉस जीतकर रोहित शर्मा ने मेहमान टीम को पहले बल्लेबाजी करने के लिए बुलाया। पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए टीम का प्रदर्शन बेहद ही बेहतरीन रहा, जिसके चलते उन्होंने भारत को 228 रनों का पहाड़नुमा टारगेट दिया।
जवाब में भारतीय टीम को अच्छी शुरुआत नहीं मिल पाई, लेकिन डीके मे तूफ़ानी पारी खेल महफिलें लूट ली, लेकिन वो 46 रन की पारी खेलकर आउट हो हुए। जिसकी वजह से कुछ फैंस उनकी तारीफ करते नजर और कुछ ने उन्हें ट्रोल किया।
